If your problem sounds like this, you're in the right place:

Resolution

VAN 9005 means Vanguard currently requires TPM 2.0 and UEFI-compliant firmware to use Virtualization-based Security (VBS), but doesn't detect the required security setup on your PC. Let's change that.

Check these settings in order. After making any changes, restart your PC and try launching your game again.

  1. Enable TPM 2.0. Vanguard relies on TPM 2.0 for system security checks. Follow our guide to enable TPM 2.0.
  2. Enable Secure Boot. Secure Boot helps confirm your PC starts in a trusted state before Vanguard runs. Follow our guide to enable Secure Boot.
  3. Check Memory Integrity. Memory Integrity is part of the Windows security setup Vanguard checks through Virtualization-based Security. Follow our Memory Integrity troubleshooting guide to make sure it’s running correctly.

After checking these settings, restart your PC and try launching your game again.
