If your problem sounds like this, you're in the right place:

  • VAN 9100: Unsupported virtualized environment detected. This version of Vanguard does not allow running under virtual machines or unsupported virtualized environments.
  • What does VAN 9100 mean?
  • Vanguard says my system is running in an unsupported virtualized environment.

Resolution

VAN 9100 means Vanguard detected that your game is running in a virtual machine or unsupported virtualized environment.

Riot Vanguard is not supported in virtual machine environments (it prefers to keep it real 😎). Try these steps in order, starting with installing your game and Riot Vanguard on a regular Windows installation.

  1. Use a regular Windows installation. Install and run your game and Riot Vanguard on a standard Windows PC instead of launching them through a virtual machine or unsupported virtualized environment.
  2. Remove and reinstall Vanguard. The quickest way to restore Vanguard's default settings is to manually uninstall it, then restart your PC and launch your game again to reinstall Vanguard.

Still having issues?

If you are using a regular Windows installation and still see the error after trying these steps, submit a ticket to Player Support. Make sure you attach your logs so we can take a closer look.
