Resetting your configuration files may help resolve certain errors. Before you proceed however, make sure to:

  • Take notes (or even some screenshots) of your settings. This can help you set them up again later.
  • For VALORANT, you must delete your Agent Profiles before proceeding with the next step.

With those items taken care of, it's time to jump into action.

League of Legends

  1. Close League of Legends and the Riot Client.
  2. Open the League of Legends configuration folder: C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\Config
    • The location may be different you installed League of Legends elsewhere.
    • Save the files if you want to keep a copy of your current settings.
  3. Delete everything inside the Config folder.
  4. Open the Riot Client.
  5. Delete any configuration files that reappear in the Config folder.
  6. Log in to League of Legends.
  7. Delete any configuration files that reappear again.
  8. Enter a custom game and play for around 5 minutes.
  9. Close the game and log out.

VALORANT

  1. Close VALORANT and the Riot Client.
  2. Press Windows (🪟) + R 
  3. Type %LOCALAPPDATA%
  4. Go to VALORANT → Saved → Config
    • Save the files if you want to keep a copy of your current settings.
  5. Delete everything inside the Config folder.
  6. Open the Riot Client.
  7. Delete any configuration files that reappear in the Config folder.
  8. Log in to VALORANT.
  9. Delete any configuration files that reappear again.
  10. Enter a custom game and play for around 5 minutes.
  11. Before closing the game, open Settings and reset the settings to default.
  12. Close the game and log out.
