Where can I get the app?
You can get it from the Google Play (on Android) and App Store (on iOS). Search for the League Friends app on either marketplace, download it and you're good to go.
How do I send a message?
Tap “+” at the bottom center of the screen.
Select the message icon.
Select the friend you want to chat with and type away!
Once you send your friend a message, you can use the “Messages” tab to keep up the conversation.
How do I send a friend request?
Tap “+” at the bottom center of the screen.
Tap on the person symbol.
Type in the Summoner name you wish to add.
Make sure to check your spelling!
How do I block someone?
Open the Friends List.
Tap on the name of the Summoner you wish to block.
Tap the menu in the upper right-hand corner and select “Block.”
The Summoner will not be able to send you messages or friend requests until you unblock them.
I changed my mind! How can I unblock someone?
Currently, you can only unblock a person from the desktop client. We may add this functionality to the app in a future update.
What should I do if I simply don't want talk to someone right now?
You can mute the chat by doing the following:
Tap “More Options” on the top right.
Muting a chat will prevent all notifications, sounds and vibrations from messages in that chat. It won't stop your friend from hitting their face against a keyboard in a futile attempt to summon you by repeating “Gmae??” over and over, but you won't see or hear it.
To unmute a chat, tap and hold the chat bar in the “Messages” tab or use the instructions above.
How can I change my status?
Open your profile by tapping on your name at the top of the screen.
In the middle of the screen tap on the “Tap to set your chat status”.
How do I view a friend’s mini profile?
Simply tap on a friend’s name in the Friends List.
You can also tap on a friend's name in the chat window!
What can I do from the “Settings” menu?
Chat and Friends
Hide Offline Friends: Hides friends that are offline from the Friends list.
Enable Language Filter: Filters out most inappropriate words.
Enable Link Warnings: This will give you a warning when you click on a link.
Notification and Sounds
Toggle allowing notifications: This will let you know when your friends message you.
Snooze notifications: Use this to turn off notifications for a limited period of time.
Enable Sounds: Turns the sound cue on.
Bugs and Feedback
Something is Broken: This will let you report bugs that you may find in the app.
Feedback: Let us know what you think of the app and if you have any suggestions! We won't be able to reply directly, but we will definitely read it.
Language: Use this setting to manually set your language for the app. By default this setting will be detected from your phone.
Sign Out: This will sign you out of the app on your phone. You won't receive notifications while signed out.
Please note: You will appear to be “online” until a friend tries to message you or a week passes without activity.
Can I use the application if I am chat restricted?
Chat restrictions only limit your in-game communication. You will be able to talk to your friends and use the app normally.
Can you share some cool tips and tricks for using the app?
We’ve put some shortcuts in long press menus throughout the app — things like muting, moving a friend, or clearing out your chat history in case you need to hide all the links to cute Teemo pictures in a hurry.
If you have a large Friends List, you can pull down to reveal a hidden filter menu. You can search through summoner names or buddy notes there!
You can see the message timestamp by tapping on a message bubble.
Can I be logged into the League Friends and the League of Legends client at the same time?
What does my status look like when I am logged into League Friends?
If you're signed out of the client, you will appear as “Mobile”, with the phone icon next to your profile.
If you're away from the client for 30 minutes and log into the app, you will switch from “Away” to “Mobile”.
If you don’t use the app for an extended period of time, you will appear as “Offline”.
Can I appear “away” while logged into League Friends?
Yes, but you can only set the “Away” status from the client.
Is there an “Invisible”/“Appear offline” mode?
Can I join group chat rooms?
No, but you can chat with your Clubs!
How often does rank update in the mini profile?
Rank does not update immediately - there may be a delay.
What languages does the application support?
League Friends supports every language that is currently available in the client.
What regions can I use the app in?
You can use the app in the following regions: NA, EUW, EUNE, Oceania, Latin America North, Latin America South, Brazil, Turkey, Russia, Korea and Japan.
Please note: At launch the app will be deployed to each region in sequence, so please bear with us!
Can I chat with people who play in a different region?
Unfortunately, that is not possible :( Just like the client, the chat service is broken up into multiple shards, so you will only be able to talk to people who are in the same region as you.
Does the app have chat history?
You can access up to 100 messages per chat, which will expire after 10 days.
I have logged out and uninstalled the app, but my status still says “Mobile”. What's happening?
The status will correct itself after a friend tries to message you or a week passes with no activity.
Why can’t the app do something that the client can?
This isn't even our final form! We plan to grow League Friends over time. We’ll be releasing app updates periodically to expand the League Friends experience. If you have something you’re dying to see in the app, please let us know by posting a thread here: NA | OCE.

What phones and operating systems are supported?
iOS 8.3 or newer or Android 4.1.1 or newer (API 16). Blackberry and Windows phones are not currently supported.
The application seems to be loading slowly and chat feels laggy. What can I do?
The app is heavily dependent on your internet connection. Please check to make sure your phone is not in airplane mode and move to an area with better service, if possible. If the connection issues persist despite good service, please report a bug through the app in the “Settings” menu under “Help and Support”.
The application freezes/crashes. What should I do?
The application is defaulting to a language that I am not familiar with!
Android: From the Friends list or Messages tab, tap the menu in the upper right corner. Tap the 3rd choice down, tap Language, and select a new language.
iOS: From the iOS Settings, navigate to General, then Language & Region.
I have the beta version and live version on my phone? Which one should I use?
As with any beta program, the newest (and coolest!) updates will come to the beta app first. However, you may experience more crashes, bugs or general weirdness by using the beta app instead of the live version. If you don’t mind waiting a little bit longer, the live version will provide the smoothest experience.
