Internet Explorer is a dependency of League of Legends. Many facets of League of Legends, including the store and login screen, are affected by your Internet Explorer settings. This is true even if you have a different default browser. For this reason, many common errors with the PVP.Net portion of League of Legends can be resolved by restoring your Internet Explorer settings to default.
When you click on the store button in PVP.Net your screen looks like this:

- Open Internet Explorer
- Navigate to Internet Options
- Navigate to the Cookies Tab
- Change your slider to Medium
- Hit Apply
- It may be necessary to restart League of Legends
Reset your Internet Explorer settings to default
Occasionally this does not always resolve the problem. The next step is to simply reset your Internet Explorer settings to default. You can find another detailed pictorial guide to doing this here.
Change to a public DNS
Your DNS acts as a traffic director for your communication with websites. It translates names of websites such as leagueoflegends.com to addresses. Occasionally your default DNS may filter or direct your traffic improperly. Changing to a well respected public DNS may resolve your issue, not to mention increase the speed of your web browsing. Ensure your Windows clock is synced
An out of sync clock may cause your computer to reject sessions by our store. Be sure to sync it by following the guide here.
Update your install of Internet Explorer
Make sure you have the most updated version of Internet Explorer here:
Update your install of Windows
To update, simply visit http://update.microsoft.com
Note: You may have to reboot your machine several times. Keep revisiting the update site until there are no more available updates.
Check for possible filtering of websites
Occasionally players find that some software on their computer is actively blocking the League of Legend store. If you have any software or toolbars on your computer that filter websites please make sure they are not filtering the League of Legends store website. Also many controlled networks such as college dorms, places of employment or secret government facilities filter access to websites. You may have to contact your network administrator or IT department to see if such filters are in place.
