Third-party antivirus or security software can sometimes interfere with Riot Vanguard or the game. Temporarily uninstalling the software can help determine whether it is contributing to the issue you're experiencing.

These steps only apply if you've installed additional antivirus or security software on top of Windows Security.

Temporarily Uninstall Your Antivirus Software

  1. Open Settings in Windows.
  2. Go to Apps > Installed apps.
  3. Find the third-party antivirus or security software you installed.
  4. Select the options menu next to the software, then select Uninstall.
  5. Follow the instructions provided by the software to complete the uninstall.
  6. Restart your PC.
  7. Launch the game again and check whether the issue continues.

If uninstalling the security software resolves the issue, refer to the software provider's documentation or contact their support team for help configuring it so that it doesn't interfere with Vanguard.

You can reinstall your security software once you've finished testing.
