Uninstalling the game
Uninstalling through Windows
- Press the Windows Key 🪟 to open the Windows menu
- Type Installed apps and open it
- Choose your game and Uninstall
- Closing your Riot Client is required to uninstall Riot games
- You may need to restart your computer to perform this step
Clean Uninstall for Game Troubleshooting
This step may be useful if you are attempting to resolve specific issues with the game as it cleans up the cache for your game.
League of Legends/TFT (PC)
- Go to your C:\Riot Games folder and delete the Riot Client folder
- Press Windows Key 🪟 + R
- Type %localappdata%
- Press Enter
- In the AppData\Local folder, delete the Riot Games folder
- Press Windows Key 🪟 + R again
- Type %programdata%
- Press Enter
- In the C:\Program Data folder, delete the Riot Games folder
- Head over to the Documents folder on your PC and locate the folder titled League of Legends
- This contains the replays of your games - you can copy them somewhere else if you'd like to keep them
- Delete the League of Legends folder and empty your Recycle Bin
- Install Revo Uninstaller to completely remove League from your PC
- Ensure that you don't have another installation of League on other drives
- Get CCleaner and clean all the registries and corrupted files from your computer.
League of Legends/TFT (Mac)
- Fully close League of Legends and the Riot Client.
- Open Finder.
- Select Applications from the sidebar.
- Find League of Legends.app and move it to the Trash.
- From the Finder menu bar, select Finder > Empty Trash.
- Restart your Mac.
- Download the League of Legends Mac installer.
- Open the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall the game.
- Once installation is complete, launch League of Legends and check if the crash is resolved.
VALORANT
- Go to your C:\Riot Games folder
- Delete the VALORANT and Riot Client folders
- Empty the recycle bin
- Press Windows Key 🪟 + R
- Type %localappdata%
- Press Enter
- In the AppData\Local folder, delete the Riot Games folder & VALORANT folder
- Restart your computer
Legends of Runeterra
- Go to your C:\Riot Games folder and delete the Legends of Runeterra & Riot Client folderÂ
- Press Windows Key 🪟 + R
- Type %localappdata%
- Press Enter
- In the AppData\Local folder, delete the Riot Games folderÂ
- Empty your Recycle BinÂ
- Restart your device
2XKO
- Press Windows Key 🪟 + R
- Type %localappdata%
- Press Enter
- In the AppData\Local folder, delete the Lion folderÂ
- Go to the Riot Games folder
- Delete any 2XKO folder

Reinstalling the game
Head to RiotGames.com, select your game, and download the client. This will install the Riot Client which will facilitate the download and installation of your game.
