League Classic Pass
The League Classic Pass is a different experience from the standard Battle Pass:
- Free Track Only: The Act II Classic Pass is now completely free to progress!
- Tier-by-Tier Progression: Instead of passively earning XP to progress the Pass, you clear Classic Missions to earn Classic Pass Coins, which you can then use to unlock content from your current tier and progress to higher tiers. Check our League Classic - Progression article for more information!
- Riot Your Runes: Random Skinned Runes are a new cosmetic item that lets you customize the visual appearance of your active runes while keeping core rune stats completely untouched. It’s all about style!
The Classic Pass: Act II is entirely free for all players. Every tier and reward is yours to unlock just by jumping into the game. Earn the required Classic Pass Coins, and the content’s yours for the taking.
League Classic Pass Contents
The Classic Pass contains a total of six tiers. You start on tier 1 and must spend at least 125 Classic Pass Coins tier to unlock the following tier.
- For the Random Champion loot: those who already have all champions released up to Patch 26.20 get 1,000 Blue Essence instead.
Purchasable Content
With the release of Patch 26.21, the Classic Store will only contain champions, runes, and rune pages.
Here's all the content you can purchase:
Item | Details |
|---|---|
Champions | Available for Blue Essence or RP in either direct or bundle purchase. You only need to purchase a champion once; if you already have it, you can use it in League Classic matches! |
Runes | Runes enhance your champion's stats from the very beginning of the match. Check the League Classic - Runes & Masteries article to learn more. |
Rune Pages | Rune pages allow you to customize your rune setup both in the Rune tab in Classic, or during the Champion Selection lobby. You can purchase them with Influence Points, or unlock them as part of the Classic Pass and Classic Account Level rewards. |
Content Refunds
Since League Classic is only available until January 6, 2027, we’ll start refunding Classic-only cosmetic content from 30 days after this notice onwards as follows:
Classic Portraits will be refunded based on how they were acquired:
- Purchased Directly at the Store - Receive the RP you spent on it by November 30, 2026.
- Included in the Paid Classic Pass Act I - Receive 200 RP by November 30, 2026 for each Classic Portrait you acquired. If you purchased the Classic Pass Act I directly with cash and you'd prefer a refund to your original payment method instead, contact Player Support within 30 days.
- Included in Classic Welcome Bundle - Receive 2000RP for the Resplendent Explorer Ezreal Portrait Classic Portrait by November 30, 2026.
- Included in League of Legends Classic Collector’s Box - Receive the portion of the purchase price attributable to the Classic Portraits in RP by November 30, 2026.
- If you’d prefer a full refund of all components of the Collector’s Box to your original payment method instead, contact Player Support within 30 days.
- If you’d prefer to receive the physical components of the Collector’s Box but want a refund of all of its digital components, contact Player Support to remove the digital content (including the corresponding Modern skins such as Black Alistar Modern) from your account and receive 12212 RP.
Classic Chromas - We previously announced in patch 26.18 that we are making some changes around Classic Chromas and their distribution as we are unifying this product with their associated Base Skins. However, with this update to League Classic, if you only bought a Classic chroma, we will refund you for that chroma in RP. We will also refund you in RP for the Classic Annie (Founder’s Goth), Classic Alistar (Founder’s Black), and Classic Kayle (Founder's Silver) Chromas in the Legendary Welcome Bundle and Classic Welcome Bundle (purchasable directly or included in the League Classic Collector’s Box).
