ARAM: Mayhem is a Game Mode that spices up good ol' All Random All Mid with the madness and chaos of Augments from Arena. This is our Master Chef's fanciest creation, and it's wild!

  • This mode is not replacing ARAM; it's just another flavor for our rotating game modes.

What is ARAM: Mayhem?

ARAM: Mayhem has all the trappings of standard ARAM, plus one key difference: you modify your play with four Augment Selection phases throughout the game.

Augments are in-game power-ups that come in three different tiers: Silver, Gold, and Prismatic. While your options are totally random (anything from firing comets at enemies you hit from afars to growing larger with each takedown), you can rest assured that all players will always select from the same tier.

  • Choose your first augment at the start of the game
  • Receive additional augments at champion level 3, 7, 11, and 15
  • You can only choose your augments when your champion is dead

Unlike standard ARAM, Rune settings are disabled in Mayhem, but you can take any Summoner Spells you like (though Exhaust is not available).

Every iteration of ARAM: Mayhem also includes a unique feature ramps up the chaos:

  • Season of Mayhem started it all off, bringing augments and battle passes to Mayhem.
  • League of Champions introduced Quest and Ability augments, empowering you to further enhance skills and items as the game progressed.
  • Journey to Stardom is the newest release, presenting a brand-new way to earn unique rewards by giving it your all in special Audition Missions that must be completed in a single match!

Quest Augments

Certain Augments have requirements you need to fulfill before unlocking their awesome potential. Whether it’s by burning your enemies to a crisp or enduring extraordinary damage on the frontline, achieving these quests will push your augments to new heights.

Journey to Stardom

With the release of Journey to Stardom, ARAM: Mayhem takes standard progression off the setlist. Hop on the tour bus and turn up the volume with unique band tracks—Pentakill, True Damage, K/DA, HEARTSTEEL, and more! Instead of a traditional event pass, you clear band-specific Audition Missions to unlock exclusive themed rewards. Gain enough Fame, and you’ll soon find yourself on the Worlds stage!
