What is The Climb mode?
The Climb is a PVE game mode where you battle and banter with increasingly challenging computer-controlled champs, learning their personality and history along with their move sets. Choose from different nodes to forge your path and select various Augments to uniquely empower your team, then earn rewards based on your progress.
What are node paths?
After completing your first match, you’re taken to the node tree, where you can pick your next challenge. Each option you see is a node. Every node can bring you closer to victory or defeat, so choose wisely.
How do I get Augments?
As you progress through the node tree, you can pick challenges that reward you with specific Augments once completed. Additionally, Campfire nodes provide an opportunity to rest and manage your Augments.
How do I get rewards?
Complete special Climb-specific missions to earn rewards like Stickers, Avatar Outfits, and unique Chromas for the Champions that take you all the way to the top.

What happens if I lose a match?
The Climb has a permanent death mechanic with no checkpoints, so losing a match means starting over from scratch - which includes losing all your Augments and nodes. But don’t worry! You still earn the XP and mission progression for your efforts.
What if I can’t complete my run?
If anything happens during your run that stops you from completing it (either by winning or by getting a Game Over), your progress will be lost. The Climb only registers your progress at the end of a run, so be sure to have a stable Network connection and an uninterrupted block of time before you start playing.
